My Everyday Mineral Smoothie

It's simple, delicious, and super good for you! The ingredients incorporate protein, iron, magnesium, potassium, omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, folate, vitamin B1, calcium... the list goes on. It all blends into a refreshing pink/purple concoction, perfect for summertime!


The real MVP's in the recipe are the seeds- flax, hemp, and chia. They are rich with nutrients and for centuries have been known for their health properties. These are commonly found in every grocery store, probably even at your local Walmart. Which is just another reason why I love this recipe- it is so simple!


The Ingredients:

Prep time: 5 min

  • 1 banana

  • 2 cups frozen strawberries

  • 1/4 cup frozen blueberries

  • 1 cup plant based milk

  • 1 Tablespoon ground flaxseed

  • 1 Tablespoon hemp seeds

  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds

  • 1-2 teaspoon agave or maple syrup (optional)

Add everything to a blender and blend until smooth, about 1 minute. Add more milk if needed to thin.
